Initially, the raw material was just a service of orders and deliveries of disks, but currently it is stated as a meeting point for professionals and lovers of alternative music.

Este museu expõe marionetas e adereços de variados espetáculos do Teatro de Marionetas do Porto. Dispõe de dois andares, nos quais estão expostos cartazes, peças de cenografia, fotografias, adereços, marionetas e vídeos de peças e documentários.

This museum is placed at the former residence of the poet, caricaturist, businessman and collector Fernando de Castro (1888-1950). The building was donated to the State after his death and you can admire painting, sculpture and religious art. There is also a library which contains first editions of famous writers such as Camilo Castelo Branco or Padre António Vieira.

It is one of the main buildings in the city and venue for some of the city's main cultural shows. It houses the Companhia Nacional do Teatro São João.

The Almeida Garrett library is located at the Palácio de Cristal (Crystal Palace) gardens and melts perfectly with its coubtry like scenery. Being the most ancient library in the Invicta city, founded in 1833 and placed at the former Santo António da Cidade Convent, a XVIII century construction, presently classified as Public Interest Building. The library has more than 1 200 000 printed documents (monographs and periodical publications) and several special funds, among which we point out, for its sparseness, the manuscripts, from the Middle Ages to our times. This place has Internet access service, juvenile library, sound library (for the visual and motor handicapped) and photocopies, among other services.
