The PDO restaurant is situated in the historical centre of the city, in the building of the Palace of Arts, presenting itself as a beautiful and elegant space. In April 2014, the chef Rui Paula decided to change the concept of the restaurant, taking into account the opening soon of its new space in Leça da Palmeira. Thus, in the DOP, Rui Paula presents now what defines as "Food with Memory".

Restaurante com um conceito arrojado, totalmente baseado no fogo, que enaltece as origens da cozinha e deste primitivo método de confecção. Aqui, o fogo é a base das criações gastronómicas, e o seu elemento único. Lenha, caruma, palha, pinhas e brasas são as várias formas que permitem que todos os pratos disponíveis, quer na carta, quer no menu de degustação que muda semanalmente - ou ao ritmo que a natureza e a disponibilidade dos produtos assim o exigem -, sejam elaborados sem recurso a tecnologias modernas, gás ou mesmo eletricidade. E tudo preparado ao momento.

In front of Cafeína, restaurant Terra is a multifaceted and widely respected space, not only for its cool environment, but mainly for the art of hospitality inculcated by businessman Vasco Moura, and last but not least, the quality and gastronomic diversity. On the first floor, with a few tables and several chairs around the counter, you can watch the sushiman creations while eating; in the second, more sophisticated and cosmopolitan atmosphere, you can delight in the exotic cuisine.

Marco Gomes e Fernando Santos juntaram num só espaço as suas paixões, resultando o quadro num restaurante/galeria, onde arte e gastronomia andam de mãos dadas. O próprio edifício, na Rua de Miguel Bombarda, quarteirão das artes da cidade do Porto, corporiza uma arrojada capacidade de transformar, surpreender, reconvertendo um espaço de reparação automóvel num espaço de culto gastronómico ou numa obra de arte.

This House-Museum, donated by Marta Ortigão Sampaio to the Porto municipality, rebuilds the atmosphere of the former owner, showing mostly jewellery and painting (we point out the works of Aurélia de Sousa, Sofia de Sousa and other painters from the end of the XIX, beginning of the XX centuries).

This beautiful garden stretches along the land of the former Andersen's family house where you can enjoy the groves of naturalist arrangement, a plants’ collection or even hothouses with orchids, carnivorous plants and ferns, among other tropical and subtropical plants.

The patrimony of this museum has a curiosity which distinguishes it from others: all the collections are the result of Works done during the teaching and formation of the artists and tests of teaching contest. The best works are the representative of the best quality.

It is from the hands of chefs Simão Soares and Alfonso Ramos that great dishes of traditional Portuguese cuisine with a touch of modernity come out.

He was born in Baião, but in 2024 he moved to Porto, maintaining the quality of his dishes, which are based on Portuguese cuisine but with a creative touch.
