Vila Nova de Gaia

Situada en la orilla sur del río Duero, Vila Nova de Gaia ofrece un paisaje diverso: playa, río, ciudad y zonas rurales. Hay varios puntos de interés que merecen ser destacados, ya sea por su valor histórico, paisajístico o de ocio y entretenimiento. En el centro histórico, el Monasterio de la Serra do Pilar, el Puente Luiz I, las Bodegas de Vino de Oporto o el Convento del Corpus Christi forman parte del patrimonio de la comarca. En el paseo marítimo, junto al río, puedes disfrutar de los barcos Rabelo y del Cais de Gaia, dedicado a la restauración y la vida nocturna. A lo largo de 18 km de costa es posible disfrutar de las playas, todas ellas con bandera azul. Las fiestas y romerías, como las de S. João y S. Pedro da Afurada, que atraen anualmente a miles de visitantes, son prueba viva de la cultura y tradición de la región.
