Located next to the marina of Angra do Heroísmo, this beach is the only existing sand beach in town and therefore quite crowded. Has support structures and is ideal for lovers of windsurfing.

Modern docks, inaugurated in 2004. It can welcome up to 300 boats and has several backup infrastructures.

A beach area on the southern side of the island. Well known for its famous Batalha da Salga that took place here between the Castillians and the troops of Dom António I that defended the island.

It has floating fingers and can welcome up to 200 boats from 6 to 15 metres, and a 120 m long dock, for service and recreational boats. It has a sailing school and small bars and restaurants.

A small river beach, at Ria Formosa (Formosa Brook), in a fishing village. Excellent for water sports.

A very beautiful beach, located in the Natural Park of the Ria Formosa, with good quality water that is very rich in iodine. It can be acceded by boat at a price of 1.60 € but one must take heed in some windy days when the waves may be over two metres tall. Varied restaurants, with a special note to fine shellfish.

A truly beautiful wide stretch of sand that can be acceded only by boat, from Olhão. Quite attended by divers, it has white sands and crystal clear waters. There are quality restaurants that serve a wide variety of shellfish.

A small river beach located by the small town of Fuseta. Despite its dimensions and the fact that the water quality could be better, it becomes crowded with tourists in the summer. Nearby there are several restaurants that serve mostly shellfish dishes.

A small sandy area located in a small bay. There are submarine springs that make the water warmer.
