The Douro Museum was created in 1997 in order to provide a show of this demarcated region and economic region and in wine. Installed in a former Manor House, gathers other museological centers scattered around the country, in order to increase exposure to the region. In addition to several exhibitions that houses, also promotes other cultural activities, being the only Museum in the country with a resident String Quartet.
