This library, open since 1992, is divided into several sections: adults/papers and magazines, infantile and juvenile, audiovisual, multimedia, local fund and an auditorium. It possesses 58 thousand works, of which 6000 audiovisuals, 400 papers and magazines and a local collection with about 10 thousand volumes.

A space devoted to the agriculture where one may view instruments used by the craftspeople, such as agricultural objects, water mill presses, a farmer's kitchen and bedroom, typical clothes and the several stages of the linen production.

This museum, founded in 1885, is the most important museum of "castreja" (of the Celtic villages) culture in Portugal and one of the most important in Europe. It features ceramics, iron and copper objects, as well as ancient sculptures.

This museum features the four copies o the Pastrana tapestries, by the painter Nuno Gonçalves. It also exhibits "Companhia das Índias" porcelains, several Flamish tapestries and d'Aubusson and furniture, among others.

The arts Lab integrates the complex of ancient tanneries is located in the historic centre of Guimarães. The enclosure consists of several warehouses, offices, a large outdoor space and ancient dyeing tanks. The work of this Association is to promote the work of 17 young artists, disseminating their works in six areas: Alberto Sampaio Museum, Sociedade Martins Sarmento, Paço dos Duques de Bragança, Palace of Justice – Court, Santa Casa da Misericórdia and the Municipal File Alfredo Pimenta.

The Casa da Memória is a center of interpretation and knowledge that exposes, interprets and communicates material and immaterial testimonies that contribute to a better knowledge of the culture, territory and history of Guimarães.

Located in one of the ground floor rooms of the "Paço dos Dujques de Bragança", this space features a permanent painting and sculpture exhibition, donated by the artist José de Guimarães to his hometown.

In Guimarães Sul, a few minutes from the historical city centre, the old WING sheets factory is reborn in the form of an innovative concept. New daily, rhythms and inhabitants for an emblematic building of the Portuguese industrial architecture of the years 60, now reconverted into creative platform, Exchange place, and fusion experiments, where each participates in the reinvention of the past.

This space is a régie-cooperative where numerous activities in the cultural field, like pottery, embroidery workshops or theater. The aim of this space is to promote and disseminate the traditional arts of Guimarães. Here develop and prepare numerous projects and events presented at the Centro Cultural Vila Flor.
