This cultural cooperative was established in 1988 and today is comprised of about 300 co-workers who, since the Foundation, develop numerous cultural initiatives, without forgetting the citizenship component which closes only on artists. Is above all a space of conviviality, of meetings between friends, artists, cultural and art groups. The exhibitions are frequent.
Several cinema rooms at the Dolce Vita Porto shopping centre, by the Estádio do Dragão (The Dragon's Stadium, belonging to the Futeboil Clube do Porto) and by the underground/subway station.
This cultural centre offers a varied programme that includes music, dance and theatre performances, among other cultural events. The galleries feature 20th century fine arts exhibitions and other temporary exhibitions. The space organizes cinema and art programs, as well as meetings to discuss books and the arts.
The Ballet-Theatre Companhia develops an activity that combines modern dance and theatre. Supported by the ministry of Culture and by the Oporto City Hall, it features performances on a regular basis. This Company is part of the Balleteatro Contemporâneo do Porto project - BTCP, an artistic project created in 1983 that has formation and research, as well as dance and theatre.
The Clube Português de Cinematografia (Portuguese Cinema Club) was founded in 1945 and renamed, three years later, Clube Português de Cinematografia/Cineclub do Porto. It screens non-commercial, author's movies, has a production section (that supports young directors), organizes children's sessions and workshops and also cinema classes.
