Located near the point where the Tâmega and Douro rivers meet, the Quinta da Torre Thermae (Entre-os-Rios) have been, since the end of the 19th century, a place for relaxing and treating several illnesses. Its 50 há are rich in granitic terrains water. Consideered the most alcaline of all the Portuguese sulphuric waters,they are specifically indicated for the treatment of respiratory diseases, rheumatism and muscular and bone diseases. Even so, its activity is currently suspended due to the bad condition of the water.
