It covers a total of 22 parishes, distributed by the counties of Arcos de Valdevez, Melgaço, Montalegre, Ponte da Barca and Terras de Bouro. National Park and Protected Area since 1971, extends from the plateau of the Castro Laboreiro to the one of Mourela, with a vast fauna and flora, being a favorite stage for outdoor activities. Usually accessible by car, it is known for the rugged relief and steep slopes, being a mainly granite region. You can take several routes, on foot or by car, and enjoy the scenery that offers a true journey through nature, past and adventure.

A dam on the Lima river, by the border, between the Soajo and the Amarela (Yellow) hills. The most common fish species are the trout, the barbel and the nase. Conditioned sports and leisure activities.

It belongs to a set of small waterfalls and ends at the Fervença waterfall, with an altitude of 15 to 20 metres. It is acceded by the EM (Nogueira/Portela do Vade). The waterfall is not fit for sports.

The crystal clear waters of the Laboreiro river jump out of the limits of the Melgaço parish and reach the Lima river, down the hill, with truly edenic corners.

A dam located in the protected area of the Peneda-Gerês National Park, on the Lima river. Sports are practised according to the park's regulations. It has a fish elevator.

On the Serra Amarela (Yellow Hill), right on the Peneda-Gerês National Park, one finds this waterfall. There are numerous woods and a rich human and natural heritage.
