A well preserved rural village, protected by the castle of the nearby hill. One may still view the perimeter of the walls that surrounded the interior yards and the donjon. The ruined walls, currently ruined, are classed as a public interest construction. There is a group of constructions made of narrow schist stones. Nearby, engravings may be seen in caves.

Built in the end of the XIX, beginning of the XX century, this lift, neoclassic style, connects down town with Carmo. Up there the view of downtown, São Jorge Castle and Tejo River is magnificent.

Considered one of the best sports to view th Tagus river. One views Alfama, the dome of the Church of Saint Engrácia and the Church of Saint Estêvão. A couple of tile panels on the south wall stand out.

Built in the 1930’s, the name of this garden with romantic characteristics is due to the former owner of this area, the judge of the high court Cunha Thorel. It has interesting flower beds, lovely shades, and small corners giving you privacy and a great view of down town. The Torel garden also has an elegant gate, two lakes, one of them with an old spring, a statue representing the bust of the piano player Viana da Mota, card-tables and traces of what might have been, during the XVII and XVIII centuries, a magnificent farm.

The Montes Claros Garden is part of the Monsanto Forest Park and was designed by the architect Francisco Keil do Amaral. It has a long garden, with a viewpoint overlooking the Tagus estuary. It also has an adequate space for holding large events.

Lagoa que se localiza entre os concelhos de Silves e Albufeira. É uma zona bastante interessante perto de diversas praias e onde é possível observar variadas espécies de avifauna.

Waterfalls accessible only on foot, with restricted access through a path on the ground often flooded. Place of great natural beauty, surrounded by vegetation and rocky cliffs.

This dam, located in the serra de Sintra, passes near the village of Cascais and flows directly into the sea.
