A dam in the Northeast of Trás-os-Montes (Douro river), surrounded by almond trees and cherry trees in full blossom. A reservoir for Free Usage, where some sports and leisure activities are permitted (boating, motor boating, swimming). Fishing and surfing are also permitted, under certain conditions. Nearby, there is a river beach.
The Sabor River originates in the Serra de Gamoneda (Montes de León), in the Spanish province of Zamora, at around 1600 meters above sea level, then runs for more than a hundred kilometers in Trás-os-Montes and ends up flowing into the Douro River, close to Moncorvo Tower. It is considered one of the purest rivers with the greatest ecological value in Portugal.

A protected area located between the Douro and Tagus rivers, to the south-southwest of Sabugal. It has a length of 25 kilometres and a width of 2.5 kilometres and reaches its peak at an altitude of 1000 metres. It is filled with cliffs and brooks. The Côa river has its spring here, as well as the Meimoa and Bazágueda brooks. The flora includes holm oaks and cork oak trees, oak trees and strawberry trees, hazels, Portuguese oaks, old chestnut trees and more. Located to the southwest of Moimenta da Beira, the hill grows between the Paiva and Távora rivers and belongs to the Galician-Douro massif. It is 10 km long and reaches its peak at an altitude of 1011 metres. From the peak there are wonderful views of the Tedo, Paiva and Távora valleys, as well as the tops of the Marão, Estrela, Caramulo and Montemuro mountains.
