Mata Nacional dos Medos

The Mata Nacional dos Medos was sown by order of King Dom João V, in the 18th century, to pin the sands of the dunes that advanced to the agricultural lands. Classified as a Botanical Reserve in 1971, this ecosystem presents conditions for recreation and leisure.
