Fort built to protect the local fishermen. At present it is in ruins but affords a beautiful panoramic view of the Vincentina coastline.

16th century church, rebuilt during the 18th century after the 1755 earthquake. A renaissance doorway remains from the original build. The church has an extremely simple interior comprising only one nave and triumphal arch. Currently, in one of the wings of this temple, works the sacred art museum Monsenhor Manuel Francisco Pardal.

Human occupation at this site dates back to the Iron Age. The castle is built on a hillock overlooking a brook, and it was used to protect the river port (that established a connection between the town and the sea) and to defend the local population from enemy attack. Two towers form part of the vast walled defence structure. From the top of the defensive walls one can see the plain and the hills that roll right up to Monte Clérigo beach.

The Church of our Lady of dawn, or new Church, by which name it is also known, was built in the late 18TH century. Its facade is composed of three cloths and inside, of three naves, boasts the ceiling decorated with a big star carved in wood. Deserves featured still the altarpiece of the main Chapel in neoclassical carvings (1809), where you can see the image of Nossa Senhora de Alva, patroness of Aljezur.

This Panel is a tribute to the Mondadeira, an activity which if exercised in the decades of 30 to 50 of the twentieth century, rice paddies located in Dom Sancho in Aljezur.

Working windmill where it is possible to witness the milling of cereals using traditional methods. There are beautiful views from this vantage point.
