Circular castle facing the Tagus River, built in 1194 by Sir Afonso Pais and rebuilt in 1390 by Sir Nuno Álvares Pereira. Source built in 1919, as can be read on the tombstone marble top. The table below gives an account of a reopening this source in 1998, by the Civil Governor of the District of Portalegre, John Chicken Barreto. It has a circular shape, with two perfect round arches and a shot of blue color.
