It is located in the foothills of the Sicó mountain range. Notable features include the Church of Mercy or Chapel of Our Lady of the Star, built in a natural grotto high in the Poio mountain range and rebuilt in 1670, and the medieval bridge, where a cluster of old watermills still operates. Also, noteworthy are the pillory (National Monument), the old Town Hall, the parish church, and some vestiges of prehistoric occupation. Redinha is part of the Beiras Wine Route. It offers conditions suitable for mountaineering. Basketry and pottery constitute the region's handicrafts.

Church belonging to the Poor Clare convent, built in the 18th century. The simple and unadorned exterior contrasts with the interior space, with curved lines of walls and elevations, and completely covered in figurative Baroque tiles.

Within this magnificent monument, the extensive walls, the quadrangular turrets, the keep, and what remains of the barbicans are preserved, bearing witness to its defensive value. Rebuilt during the reign of King Manuel I, the armillary sphere, a Manueline-style window opening in the coastal wall, and the royal coat of arms are visible. Inside the walls, vestiges of the Chapel of Saint Michael and a Romanesque colonnade remain.
