Sited at the superior cloister and annex areas of the S. Jerónimo College, this place aims to gather, maintain and divulge all about the history of the academic history, its traditions and relations with the University and the city.

Sited in a beautiful exhibition gallery, located at the neo-classical S. Bento Building, it has a permanent exhibition called: “Biology, Biodiversity and Evolution in the Vegetal World”. Here you may also see a considerable number of microscopes and other ancient laboratorial instruments, a good collection of fossils and varied handicraft works.

Opened in 1985, it is composed with exhibition rooms at the ground floor and, on the first floor, heavy arms park, restoration-shop and material store-room.
