It is in the area of the old Jewish quarter, on the street Rua Fonte da Rosa, and is very popular among Jews, who make their prayers there, and curious people from other religions, who seek to know more about the Jewish community. Inaugurated in 1996, the Synagogue can only be visited by appointment, at the Jewish Museum. It is oriented towards Jerusalem and its name is a tribute to the worthy Jew who financed its construction. The Jewish community also has its own cemetery.

Irregular urban complex organized in three poles, which correspond to the consecutive phases of construction: from the 9th to the 13th century, from the 13th to the 19th century, and finally, from the 15th to the 18th century. It was Pedro Álvares Cabral, with the discovery of Brazil in 1500, who inspired the creation of this attractive and interactive Museum. The Interpretation Center "À Descoberta do Novo Mundo" (Discovering the New World) is distinguished by the use of modern technologies and museographic techniques that make the visitor "go back" more than 500 years and feel like discovering Brazil. Whether passing through the interior of a ship, the high seas or a colorful market on the other side of the Atlantic, this museum provides differentiating experiences.

Inside, we can find the image of Nossa Senhora da Esperança, who accompanied Pedro Álvares Cabral on the journey he discovered Brazil. The 14th century image is found in a side altarpiece and is much appreciated by those who visit this temple, inaugurated in 1940. The bell tower stands out on the main façade of this church, with eclectic and revivalist marks. It is located in the historic center and offers a privileged view of Cova da Beira.
Museu do Azeite

Created in an old mill, this museum structure was created to teach the visitors the traditional production process of olive oil, as well as the importance it assumed in the local economy. It is spread over three floors and there you can find the old millstones and presses, where the village's oil was produced until 1995. On the way out, the visitor is invited to taste different types of olive oil and outside, you can admire an olive grove, as well as the Zêzere, which runs behind the building.

The Zêzere River passes through the municipality of Belmonte and this small museum shows all its history and characteristics. From the source to the mouth, visitors can learn more about the species that live in the river that rises in Serra da Estrela, as well as the vegetation that surrounds it. This museum center was created in the old Tulha dos Cabrais, an austere building that functioned as the granary of the most important family in the village, whose manor is located right in front of it.

About a kilometer from the town, this former convent of the Frades Menores de São Francisco da Covilhã was founded in 1563, in a place that offers excellent views of Cova da Beira and Serra da Estrela. The convent was extinguished in 1834, with its objects of worship being distributed among several churches in the region, until in 2001 it was transformed into an elegant inn, with 24 rooms. The hotel unit kept the architecture in an amphitheater, on the slopes of Serra da Esperança.

19th century building with a simple rectangular plan, with two floors and a main façade with a central portal. It has a chapel attached to the rear facade, connected to the house from the inside. Highlight for the decoration of the main facade, with windows flanked by plant pendants.

In the main square of the Jewish quarter is the famous ḥanukkah that lights up every year during the Festival of Lights, which usually takes place on the last weekend of the year. In this area, between the current streets Rua Direita and Rua Fonte da Rosa, you can find several small granite houses, with cruciform motifs on the threshold and on the small openings. The Jews were mostly artisans and merchants, so the lower floor of their houses was normally occupied by their workshop or shop.
