Castelo de Castelo Novo

This castle was founded at the time of Dom Dinis, by the Templars, around 1290, and is currently in ruins. It has an irregular plan and has a bell and keep. Two doors stand out, one of them flanked by two towers.

Late-baroque chapel consists of a longitudinal plan with a single nave, a chancel and a narrow rectangular sacristy and a Bell Tower adossados. The belfry is twofold, with its Bell back perfect and shot in Gable. Inside, the altarpiece-mor late-Baroque carved polychrome.

Johannine fountain of two heights and faceted trapezoid plant, built in the 18th century, during the reign of Dom João V. features a backrest circumscribed by pilasters topped by fogaréus. The central cloth, especially the shield with the arms of Dom João V.

Baroque fountain of trapezoidal plan, integrating a backrest bounded by pilasters and a central source of trapezoidal plan with three cocks. It was built in 1714 by Dom João V, believing that was erected on the site where a Roman source existed.

Chapel dating from the 16TH century, consisting of a longitudinal plan with a nave, a chancel closer and high and a vestry located near. The fountain was built in 1905 and has a rectangular plan with go round arch, based on Tuscan pillars.
