Claustro do Convento de Santo António

Male former convent of the order of St. Francis founded in 1553, which subsists the cloister. In 1834 was sold, working for a few years as fifth and, in 1987, was acquired by the University of Beira Interior, after the remodel, opened here in 1995, a part of the University.

Mannerist and Baroque church of longitudinal plant consisting of a ship, a side chapel and a vestry adossadas, with differentiated toppings on gable roof. It was probably built in the 16th century, the ship being rebuilt in the 18th century and the main façade in the 19th century.

Nave church with a Baroque feature, façade of the late 19th century, and a Gothic portal. Inside, also include the gothic vaults decorated with starry warheads, the chapels for coffin and the 16th century Baroque carved the main altar. Stands out for its combination of Gothic, manueline and Baroque elements.

Source of backrest consisting of a rectangular plant, three pillars divided by pilasters and pillars, circular tanks and tapstands in form of frowns and topped by shells. It was built in 1855 and dismantled in the 40 TWENTIETH century, being mounted again in the next decade.
