Perfectly integrated into the landscape, this viewpoint offers a unique panoramic view of the river that gives it its name. Ribeira Funda is a terrace with a steep slope, painted green, that extends to the sea. The viewpoint allows you to admire this landscape of rare beauty, while you rest or prepare a barbecue.

Viewpoint located just outside the city of Horta, which runs along both sides of the main road, in a completely antagonistic view. On one side you can see Praia do Almoxarife and the rural landscape. Created in 1986 on a former agricultural farm, the Faial Botanical Garden is dedicated to the conservation of landscape biodiversity and environmental education and awareness. Located around a hundred meters above sea level, just outside the parish of Capelo, this park, covering 96 hectares, is densely wooded and has a considerable diversity of endemic plants. In addition to enabling barbecues and picnics, it can be used for various physical maintenance activities.

The fame of these spas dates back to Roman times, but the first written reference dates back to 1884. Located in upper Minho, it provides rest and the treatment of some illnesses. Its waters of medium mineralization, carbonated, calcium/magnesian bicarbonate and ferruginous, are especially indicated for the treatment of digestive, metabolic-endocrine and rheumatic diseases.

With around 4000 m2, this garden space allows various sporting/leisure activities. The tranquility of the place is the result of the countless trees, lakes and lawns that can be found here. Also, noteworthy is the presence of an old mill that has been restored and currently works as a café-terrace.
