Garden with an area of 560 thousand m2, full of aromatic medicinal and poisonous species. Some examples are lavender, mint, citron-tree, aloe Vera and anise not forgetting fennel that, at the time of peopling, vegetated abundantly in the south coast of Madeira Island, and was in the origin of the name of the city of Funchal.

Green area with about 11500 m2, opened in 2005. The 16 distinct species of palm trees are worthy of notice. It also has a lake, an entertainment area for children, two Petanca fields, two fountains and some urban art pieces.

This farm is a fine exemplar of Madeira farms. The garden, inside, has a playground, tennis courts and squash, a fitness circuit and a pool. It is possible to find various trees and plants from all over the world. It is open everyday from 8h to 20h.

In this garden, besides trees and bushes, there’s an archaeological nucleus where one may see part of the primitive pillory of Funchal (beginning of the XVI century), tombstones and an ancient coat of arms of the city. One of the main attractions pf this garden is the collection of exotic orchids. In the centre there are also two Manueline windows from the XVI century. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10h to 12h30 and from 14h to 18h.
