Ruínas do Castelo de Paderne
Occupied by the romans at the middle of the 2nd century aD, it was turned into a political and administrative centre. Conquered by the Moors in 713 it was then taken by the Portuguese crown in 1248. The castle was restored by Dom Dinis. The walls are of stucco with battlements and a watching path that leads to the watch tower. There are vestiges of parts of the walls, of the entrance tower and, inside, th ruins of a church with gothic and manuelin vestiges.
