Mata Nacional dos Medos

The National Forest of Fears was sown at the behest of King Dom João V in the eighteenth century, with the objective of fixing the sands of the dunes that advanced to the agricultural lands. Classified as a Botanic Reserve in 1971, this ecosystem presents recreational and leisure conditions.
