Funchal Alfarrabista Market

Once a month, on the forth Thursday of the month, the Alfarrabista Market takes place at the Mercado dos Lavradores, in Funchal.

This is a market that takes place throughout the day, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, giving the opportunity to check and purchase very diversified antique or second hand products like, for instance, antique books and collection coins.

It is also an opportunity to get to know the famous Mercado dos Lavradores, built in the 1930s to a design by Edmundo Tavares (1892-1983), it is a graceful combination of 'art deco' and modernism.
