Church built between 1763 and 1783 on the site where the Ermida do Espírito Santo previously stood. The main body, with a rectangular plan, features two integrated towers. At the back of the chancel there is an altarpiece in painted revivalist carvings.

This is one of the largest and best known lighthouses of the Azores. Presents a quadrangular prismatic tower with 16 feet tall and a building attached.
