A traditional village nestled between valleys and mountains in the fertile Serra Amarela region. It features traditional houses and stone sidewalks.

Located on the northwestern slope of the mountain range, this village preserves a large number of thatched-roofed houses made of loose stone. The 18th-century main church and the 12th-century memorial are noteworthy. Traditional costumes are still worn today.

This rural village is rather important in the historical context of the defense of the Portuguese borders since the foundation of the country. It has several important monuments, such as the Castle of Lindoso and the espigueiros (small cereal warehouses).
