The springs that originated and develped the thermae are located at Caldas de Sangemil. Its river beach is also an attraction. This river beach is located on one of the Dão river's banks, with a wide sandy area and some trees and bushes that offer shade. It has volleyball and soccer equipments, a playground, locker rooms, wc and garbage cans.

At the Teixo river beach there is a small natural lake in one of the villages of the Caramulo Mountain. This beach is located in a valley surrounded by rocks and some farmlands. Its nature is quite beautiful and untouched.

The biggest attraction of São João do Monte is a most lovely river beach, at the centre of the parishe's siege, with magnificent lawns and plenty of shade. It has roman-like bridge, stone tables and benches, nautical support and wc.
