The church was founded in 1719 and built, as it is now, in 1753 by Inácio de Oliveira Bernardes. The façade is ended with two strong towers. The inside, lined with rich materials, has the tomb of the queen Dona Mariana Vitória, sculpted by Machado de Castro, classified as National monument.

Built in XVI century, it was the object of repairs during the XVII and XVIII centuries. It is preceded by two flights of stairs that disembogue at the landing. The inside, with a single nave, presents four chapels on each side.

TThe construction of the Parish church of São Mamede began in 1782. This is monument with a nave and main chapel, preceded by a triumphal arch.

The primitive church that was here was dated from 1412 and was destroyed by the earthquake of 1755. In 1768 begins the construction of this new parish church, a religious architecture exemplar of the Marquês de Pombal period.

Built in 1780, the originality of this building is on the Latin cross drawing. The superior part id the body of the church and the lateral are the transept.
