Built in the 18th century, this Palace was refurbished in the mid-19th century. The gardens have changed with the installation of the Zoo, not having, however, lost their interest. The garden develops on two terraces, with flower-embroidered the boxwood.
Building from the second half of the XVII century that, since the earthquake of 1755, has been suffering works of repair and conservation, with a conception of romantic interior quite visible in the covering glazed tiles, painted ceilings and walls revetment. From the XVII century construction there is still the noble façade, at north, where the portal stands out.
Features on the façades facing to the outside, Bay Windows with iron railings on the piano nobile. Is a two storey building, whose entrance is through a courtyard, with a large staircase and wide fence. In its interior, are noteworthy decorative paintings.
Urban palace placed on the ladder of the castle that accompanies the stressful declivity of the ground, developing along the Escadinhas de São Cristóvão, till the beginning of the Marquês de Ponte de Lima Street. In this building are worthy of notice the compartments around the yard and the space of the former library, with boiserie revetment on the frames, at the noble floor.
