To explore the Douro River, you can opt for this environmental cruise through international waters, showcasing a landscape that changes depending on the season. The cruise begins and ends at the International Biological Station, next to the Miranda do Douro dam and its border with Zamora, Spain. Along the way, you'll see an impressive variety of flora and fauna.

The former cathedral of Miranda do Douro, founded in 1552 by Dom João III, was designed by Gonçalo Torralva and Miguel Arruda. Notable features include its Mannerist façade, bell towers, altars, altarpieces, vaults, and stalls. The altarpiece's sculptures depict, among other themes, the apostles and the Virgin Mary amid angels. Of particular note is the wooden figure of the Baby Jesus in a Top Hat.

Of the original castle, only a portion of the citadel remains, along with some sections of the walls interrupted by turrets, and the Porta da Traição (Traitor's Gate). Several entrances open into the castle's surrounding walls: the Porta da Senhora do Amparo (Lady of Protection), the Porta Falsa (False Gate), and the Postigo. Still standing, but badly damaged, is the keep.

Located in the historic center of Miranda do Douro, in a 17th-century building, this museum collects, preserves, and exhibits the region's cultural, ethnographic, and artistic heritage. It was founded in 1982 in a 17th-century building that previously served as city hall and municipal jail.

The Parque de Campismo de Santa Luzia, located near the Centre of Miranda do Douro, enjoys a great location, next to the majestic Douro River. The most relevant points of interest are without doubt the Castle and the Cathedral of Mirando do Douro, as well as the Castro of new village.
