Também conhecida como Cova Dominique, localiza-se numa falésia entre o Cabo Carvoeiro e o Forte de Peniche, e é uma cavidade natural localizada a cerca de 15 metros acima do nível do mar e que foi ocupada durante o período Paleolítico Médio e o final do Calcolítico, sendo a mais importante estação pré-histórica do concelho. Funcionou como abrigo e necrópole, fornecendo um vasto espólio arqueológico, que pode ser conhecido em vários museus, entre os quais o Municipal de Peniche.

A Renda de Bilros é considerada o ex-libris do artesanato Penichense, pelo que este museu versa o estudo, conservação, valorização e divulgação deste importante património cultural, nas suas vertentes material e imaterial. Palco de exposições, permanentes e temporárias, que valorizam as diferentes áreas desta arte, possui ainda uma sala de formação e um centro de documentação.

On the outskirts of Peniche there is a volcanic breach known as islet of Papoa. This rocky formation is a rather sought after fishing spot with lovely sea views.

Large stone wall rosea in the shape of a polyhedron. Has canhoteiras and bunkers that denote great simplicity and rigour. Barracks and other dependencies are organized in a set of several volumes.

Peniche is surrounded partly by 16th century walls that surround the white houses divided by narrow streets. The ramparts defended the city from that time, in conjunction with the Fort of consolation and the Fort of São João Baptista das Berlengas. However, during the Peninsular War, proved weak, succumbing to the Napoleonic invasions of 1807.

Localizado na Fortaleza de Peniche, este espaço nasce do reconhecimento desta Fortaleza enquanto espaço-memória e símbolo maior da luta pela liberdade à escala nacional. Tem como missão a preservação da memória histórica da Fortaleza de Peniche e da Luta do Povo Português e, em particular, da Resistência à Ditadura, pela Liberdade e pela Democracia. Lá, é possível ver as celas, as salas de visitas ou o pátio de recreio da prisão que também foi residência de alemães e austríacos durante a Primeira Guerra Mundial.

A wide stretch of sand, with good surfing waves and clean water. There are several typical restaurants with many fish and shellfish dishes.

Given the bedrock of cloths of wall, the fortifications of the Citadel are irregular route. Inside the fortress are the chapel of Santa Barbara, baluarte round, large cistern, the bunkers and the whole parade grounds. The Citadel served as a political prison since the 18th century until the 20th century.
