This thetre, built at the end of the 19th century, was named Theatro Boa União until 1889. In 1960 it closed to reopen only 38 years later and become one of the main cultural spaces in the city of Viseu. It has several shows of music, theatre, dance and poetry. It also organizes workshops, ateliers and temporary exhibitions.

This building was built in the 19th century by the Counselor Dr. José Maria de Sousa Macedo. It had different owners until, in 1989, it bacame a bank. It has a rectangular plan, with two floors, a mansard and symmetrical façades. The main façade has a more elaborated ornamention, of vegetalist Art Nouveau. Tha mansard has spans that are circular for the most part in contrast with the square lines of the other two floors.

This church stands out for its remarkable tile revestment and for its interest regarding the religious art, golden carvings and tiles. The high altar is revested by a rare pattern of the 17th century and the nave with tile panels with stories of the 18th century. The sacrarium of the high altar, carved, was made in 1731 by Francisco Machado. A special note, in the high altar, to the representation of Saint Anthony (centre), Saint Bento and Saint Peter, to the right, Saint John and Benedictine nun to the left. The remaining altars represent the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
