Located in the Algarve Leeward area, it covers the Municipalities of Loulé, Faro, Olhão, Tavira and Vila Real de Santo António. The Park is a lagoon system located along 60km, between the sandy peninsulas of do the Ancão and the Manta Rota, being limited at south by a twist of sandy barrier-islands: Barreta, Culatra, Armona, Tavira and Cabanas.

Ancient medieval village built on roman and Moorish foundations. This small set still preserves its structure from the Middle Ages and from the 1500s. Classified as a Building of Public Interest.

A stretch of sand, located at th tend of the Ria Formosa, accessible on foot or by boat, from the Manta Rota beach. Almost untouched, it has naturism. Cacela is known for it fortress, built in 1770 by Dom Rodrigo de Noronha. From its battlements, at th top of the hill, one has magnificent views of the green waters and the log dunes area of the Fábrica Beach. There are two restaurants that serve oysters, shrimps and clams.

A cultural centre located in the old market of Vila Real de Santo António. It has a large auditorium where several shows take place. There are also occasional painting and sculpture exhibitions.

A famed marina, located on the Guadiana river, by a luxury area in Vila Real de Santo António. It can welcome up to 378 boats, it has fueling and a workshop where sails and engines may be repaired. To have a place in the summer one must make one's reservations very early.

Located in a picturesque fishing village, this beach has a wide stretch of sand, tranquil waters. Good infrastructures and many restaurants. There is a market, many shops, the Arts Centre and the Ria Formosa Natural Park that are all good for nice strolls. If you happen to go to Manta Rota in August, do visit the craftswork fair that takes place every year at that season.

A beach with a wide stretch of sand and good quality water, surrounded by tourism resorts. There is an area for radical sports and tennis courts. There are quality restaurants on the sand but the prices are really high. Nearby there is a casino and bar with lots of liveliness at night.

For those coming from the West, this is the last beach, overlooking the Spanish locality of Ayamonte. Although popular, allows for a quiet stay, also sought by anglers. Here you can enjoy the sea, the Guadiana river or wander through the woods of the National Coastal Dunes. The sand is extensive and without accidents. The access is by a way roofing, but bumpy.

This is one of the most frequented of Monte Gordo, opened in 1999, located in the Sota-Algarve wind, a few minutes from the border with Spain. Offers the following games: baccarat, and banking, French banking point, black jack, slot machines, roulette wheels.
