A restaurant decorated with lovely tile panels where one can savour quite well prepared fish and shellfish. Very good wine list.

This 17th-century building was built in the reign of Dom Pedro II, to defend the coast from pirates attacks during the war of restoration. Strong door is surmounted by a stone with the Royal arms.

This clock tower is a medieval monument which belongs to the former city defensive walls. The tower together with the City Council building and the misericórdia building both from the XVI century, form an important architectonic ensemble. The tower is one of the old city gates, in the form of a double arch.

Situated in the Serra De Arga, presents this monastery dedicated to St. John the Baptist. Currently the only Chapel opens to hikers on feast days.

A belvedere with astonishing views of the parish of Vilarelho and of the sea, the Minho river and the Spanish side.

An archaeology museum that features valuabel finds of several archaeological sites of the parish, and represents a time range that goes from pre-history to the roman days. It has a room devoted to pre-history and others devoted to the "castreja" culture (the days of the Celts). The museum also has plenty of archaological material that may be studied by interested searchers. It has also an ethnographic collection related to fishing, agriculture, linen and regional clothes, as well as a valuable collection of religious art.

A rocky beach that belongs to the Natura 2000 network, with a port and the old fortress of Lagarteira. Its entrance is at the Gelfa National Woods. In the area there are many shellfish houses, as well as typical restaurants and plenty of liveliness at night.

This temple with gothic origins was built in granite. The façade presents a renaissance doorway crowned by a rose window and it is sided by a tower. On the interior it is possible to observe glazed tiles from the 17th century, altarpieces in gold carving in national style and two neo – manueline confessionals.
