A ceramics oven dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries that used to produce tableware and industrial use artefacts.This archaeologic set is located at the Machada Woods.

Ruins of the Royal glassworks established in the 18th century, in 1719. This factory produced glass white, crystalline type glass, glazing, mirrors and green glass. In 1747, due to lack of vegetable fuel, was transferred to the Marinha Grande. Currently only a few traces remain.

In the beginning of the 20th century, most precisely in 1907, Afredo da Silva buys a plot of ground from the Bensaúde family in the Lezíria, between the North Beach in Barreiro and the Moinhos Beach in Lavradio, and there he builds the C.U.F. factories. It started labouring in the next year with an olive husk transformation unit in order to produce soap, which employed 100 workers. In 1909 appears the first factory of sulphuric acid and super phosphate to produce fertilizers. The old factory where cod was drought in the sun. One may also view paintings, miniatures and objects related to the fishing of the cod. This space may only be visited by groups of students.

A wide natural area, ideal for strolls among the vast pinewoods with picnic areas and a maintenanc circuit. Fit for open air activities and for being in touch with nature.For centuries, the wood that came out of these pinewoods were used in the local ovens and in the shipyards.

An old windmill, dating back to 1827, planned by Diogo Hartley. It is well preserved and houses an association.

An impressively large hangar, where the CP's (the railway company) are repaired. There are guided tours exclusively for school groups under appointment.

A small lake located in the Machada Woods, with lush vegetation and little depth.

A park with 14 há, with lawns and plenty of trees. It has a lake and a brook, two cafes and an area for radical sports woth halfpipe and climbable wall. It also has a tennis club with four courts, a reading garden, a terrace and a picnic area. The building Américo Marinho, that houses the Centre of Fine Arts, the Centre of New Technologies and the Arts Sector of the Barreiro Town Hall is located here.
