It is thought that this castle was built in the 10th or 11th century by Muslims, having served as a military refuge to support Silves Castle. Today only a few walls and a cistern remain, hidden in the middle of vegetation and between cork oaks.

Building that dates back to the end of the 18th century and, according to tradition, was built in the place where this miracle worker saint appeared to a shepherd.

The theme park includes a house from the beginning of the 18th century, an old farm, populated with more than a hundred birds, ponies and dwarf goats, the recreation of an arbutus distillery and a charcoal factory. It is also possible to visit a deactivated ore extraction mine. In the house you can visit the office, the clock room, with dozens of clocks on the walls, the double bedroom with period furniture, the sewing room, among other rooms. In the bathroom, the bathtub stands out, imported from England in the 18th century. Rural style is evident all around.

Chapel built in 1940. It is worth highlighting the beauty of its tile panels, dating from the 18th century, which describe the life of Saint Teresa. The main facade features a portal with a stonework frame preceded by a porch resting on pillars and two columns, with an oculus opening at the top of the facade.

Being the only thermal resort in the Algarve, Caldas de Monchique is located at an altitude of 350 meters and 20 kilometers from the Algarve coast, in the middle of the Serra de Monchique. The 40 hectares of forest that surround it make this place extremely pleasant. The waters are recommended for respiratory tract, digestive, rheumatic and psychosomatic conditions. It also offers wine therapy and weight loss programs, among others.

This is the highest point in the Algarve, at 902 meters. The extent of the landscape depends on the greater or lesser cloudiness, but on clear days the view extends, on the one hand, to Cabo de São Vicente and further north to Serra da Arrábida, and on the other, to Faro.
