Desenvolvido com a equipa do Banco de Portugal, este museu assenta em núcleos temáticos que focam os artigos-padrão, o dinheiro no mundo e a sua história ao longo dos séculos, o fabrico da nota e da moeda e o papel do dinheiro.

This House-Museum, donated by Marta Ortigão Sampaio to the Porto municipality, rebuilds the atmosphere of the former owner, showing mostly jewellery and painting (we point out the works of Aurélia de Sousa, Sofia de Sousa and other painters from the end of the XIX, beginning of the XX centuries).

In this space the collection of sculptures, paintings, Portuguese and foreign craftswork, furniture and decoration from Teixeira Lopes (1866-1942) are to be viewed.

Construída para residência na época Medieval e após ter pertencido aos Condes de Resende, passou em 1984 para Câmara Municipal de V. N. de Gaia. Possui um Centro de Documentação Histórica, com documentação original desde a Idade Média, um Núcleo Museológico de Arqueologia, Arte e Antropologia e espaço de exposições temporárias e de Congressos. O jardim é uma das pérolas desta casa, com Camélias exemplares centenárias.

The patrimony of this museum has a curiosity which distinguishes it from others: all the collections are the result of Works done during the teaching and formation of the artists and tests of teaching contest. The best works are the representative of the best quality.

It is the ex-libris of the city. A masterpiece by the Tuscan architect Nicolau Nasoni, the Tower built between 1731 and 1763 is a magnificent carved stonework, 75 meters high. The 240 steps of the spiral staircase lead to a balcony located in the terminal body and from where you can enjoy rewarding views over the city and surroundings.

Chain of cage structure, with two floors, built by Bishop Sebastião José de Carvalho e Melo, 1st Marquis of Pombal. Abroad, highlighted by a frieze with the arms of the Marquis of Pombal.

Town dating back to the 3rd millennium BC, which preserves remains of a stone wall.

Small Roman bridge in good condition, but invaded by vegetation.
