Vagos

The municipality of Vagos belongs to the Aveiro district and boasts a privileged location with a coastline stretching approximately 7 kilometers. The region boasts stunning landscapes, and Vagos boasts a rich flora and fauna, with part of it classified as a Special Protection Area of the Ria de Aveiro and the Dunas de Mira, Gândara, and Gafanhas Sites, within the Natura 2000 Network. The region's gastronomy includes fish stews, "escabeches", and fried fish; pumpkin porridge with "rojões", roast rabbit, and lamb stew in a clay pot are all worth exploring. Vagos' artisanal works include pottery, basketwork, mats, and miniature windmills.
