The Pisão mills are located on the banks of the Paiva River. On the right bank there are two of them and on the other bank only one. The mills are well signposted and have good access. It is a visit that you cannot miss.

This large square, mostly made of cement, but with some garden spaces, has a set of fountains. This square is the most noble area of the town, due to the existence of shops, a museum, a municipal auditorium and an open-air auditorium.

The original construction of the church dates back to the 11th/12th century, and in the 18th/20th centuries it was the subject of reconstruction works. On the outside it maintains some Romanesque features, but inside its decoration is essentially Baroque.

The Museum occupies a building built from scratch. It has two exhibition rooms, a reservation room and a technical treatment room. It has documentary resources linked to social sciences and natural sciences.

Dating from the Late Neolithic, is in excellent condition. It is well signposted and has excellent access. This dolmen was classified as a National Monument and is protected by a fiber cement covering. It has a polygonal chamber with nine pillars, a corridor over seven meters long and well-preserved tombs. Furthermore, the atrium and the monumental roof slab on which dates and religious symbols are inscribed are clearly visible.

Space Museum opened in 2002, with three storeys and four exhibition halls, where displays the earliest artistic traditions and Portuguese bread. The space is divided in Bread cycle Room, Room of political, Social and religious Bread, Bread art Room and Pedagogical Room. There is also a restaurant where the King is, as expected, the bread. Be sure to visit the old grocery store, where they acquire various kinds of bread here produced. Tertulias and temporary exhibitions are frequent activities of the Museum.

It is a living testimony of the important presence that the Jewish community had and still has in Belmonte. It is also a tribute to those who managed to resist the expulsion orders of Catholic kings, the persecution of the Inquisition and the decisions of the courts. Its collection consists of pieces used by Jews and New Christians in their daily lives or in religious practices, from the Middle Ages to the 20th century.
Santuário de Nossa Senhora da Assunção

Sanctuary located at approximately 760 meters above sea level, at the head of Vilas Boas, where there was an ancient Celtic fort. It consists of a church dating from the 17th century, outbuildings and a set of six chapels. It is a neoclassical Marian sanctuary, from which you can obtain magnificent views over the region.

Baroque church with a longitudinal plan consisting of a single nave, a rectangular chancel and a side chapel and an attached sacristy. Highlights, on the outside, are the side bell towers and the portal and, inside, the baroque gilded altars and the 19th century panel on the main altar.

The original building was built in the 18th century, but after a collapse in 1882, it was rebuilt in 1883/1986. It has a longitudinal plan with a single nave, with a rectangular chancel and a gabled roof covering in the nave and a three-pitched roof in the chancel. Outside, the highlight is the bell tower and the depressed arched portal.
