The environmental Park of Ribeira de Pena, in place of payroll officer, was opened in March 2007, following a strategy of preservation, promotion and dissemination of natural and environmental resources of the County. In its 18 acres cohabit several species of fauna and flora, and we can find tree zones of native species (pine, oak, birch, poplar, ash, chestnut ...), as well as two centers of interpretation and a environmental workshop. A park by the Hotel Terra Nostra, that dates back to the 18th century. A pleasant space where strenuous trails side lakes and cross colourful alleys of exotic flowers.

The Pilar Hill is a geologically interesting granite spot, the larges monolith in the Iberian Peninsula. One of the parish's main attractions because of its wonderful landscapes and because of activities such as rappel and via ferratta.

The São Mmede Hill, with one of the prettiest landscapes in the Minho region, is 750 metres high. Besides the astounding views, one may visit the Fontarcada Church, the monasteries of Tibães, Rendufe and Bouro, the castle of Lanhoso, the Tower of Machados (Axes or a family name) and the shrines of Sameiro, Our Lady of Pilar and Porto de Ave.

A typical village of the Minho region, located in one of the parishe's highest spots, the Merouço. It preserves its old ways and offers its visitors a pleasant rural tourism. Rustic houses, recovered mills and plenty of nature, together with a unique craftswork, the filigran, the art of gold.

It is part of the National Ecological Reserve – National Agricultural Reserve. The salt marsh predominates in this place, with many shorebirds and inhabited by birds characteristic of wetlands.

This location includes a route that crosses areas known as marshes and cultivated land, such as rice fields.

It borders the municipality of Murtosa and has Caniçal as its predominant habitat. The Mallard and the Moorhen are some of the most observed water birds, and as for birds of prey, the most common is the Western Marsh Harrier. Other animals stand out, such as the Common Reed Bunting, the Weasel, the Mediterranean Tree Frog and the Brown Rat.

Also nicknamed Esteiro de Estarreja, the place was opened artificially in the 19th century. At that time, salt, "moliço", fish, adobes, sand and reeds were traded here. As it is more urbanized than the other estuaries, the fauna and flora are not prominent.
