This park is part of a revitalization plan for the Parque Florestal de Monsanto. This last one offers various equipments grouped in nucleus called urban parks. The urban park of Alto da Serafina, opened in 1992, works as central park with varied entertainment equipment. Also known as Jardim da Sereia, was once part of the fence of the monastery of Santa Cruz and dates back to the 18th century.
