In this House lived the Doctor diplomat Aristides de Sousa Mendes when he exercised the function of Consul General in Bordeaux, in 1940, saved thousands of lives of the nazi Holocaust of World War II. It is believed that the primitive building was built in the 14th century, working at the time as a watchtower. It was later remodeled in 1573, suffering more reconstructions in the following centuries. It consists of a longitudinal plan composed, with a single nave and a square chancel, with coverage in fake wooden barrel vault on the ship and in "alfarge" style in the chancel. Despite medieval origin, the Church denotes a large Renaissance influence.

It is believed that the tower and the church were constructed on the 13th century. The church with longitudinal plan was reconstructed by the end on the 17th century. On the tower it stands out the door stonework, the niche, the round opening and the bell tower which is an older construction. On the church it stands out the pulpit settled in volute corbels and for the vault with stylized vegan motifs.

Presents a longitudinal plan consists of a nave and a chancel, covered with gable roof. In the interior, especially the Renaissance pulpit for the triumphal arch back and for the altarpiece of the high altar.
