The church is located on a plain area, next to the cemetery, in a relatively isolated place, with the large churchyard standing out. It is a regular longitudinal composite plan, in the Baroque style, dating from the 18th century (more precisely from 1742), still used today in Catholic worship.

Although it opened in 1988, with the presence of the then President of the Republic Mário Soares, this mall asserts itself even today as a modern building of daring architecture, with approximately 50 shops spread out over 3 floors, underground Park, an Office Tower and several leisure venues.

The avenue, former “Passeio Público”, was a residential area, although there are still remains of the walkway, with trees and lakes. Along the avenue are several monuments, from which stand out the monument paying homage to the word war dead soldiers, the statue of Alexandre Herculano, Almeida Garrett and Oliveira Martins.

Located in the city centre, has very comfortable rooms and stands out for friendly service. Is just fifteen minutes from the airport and 10 from the city centre. Its 70 rooms have been completely renovated in 2009, featuring modern décor and cosy now.
