Museu Municipal de Faro
A museum located in the old Convent of Our Lady of Assunção. Its main collection is composed of archaeological objects, from pre-history to the Middle Ages, with a special note to the roman era, namely through objects that were found at the Milreu ruins. Its religious art collection also stands out, with 17th and 18th centuries religious paintings, some tiles and various decorative objects in the Room Ferreira de Almeida. The chapel that once belonged to the convent is currently used as an auditorium.
