Carreira

This is a typical Minho village, located in one of the highest points of the municipality, Merouço. A place that preserves its antiquity and offers pleasant rural tourism to its visitors. Rustic houses, restored mills and abundant nature, combined with characteristic and distinctive crafts, the tradition of filigree, the art of goldsmithing. From this village you can also embark on two marked hiking trails, one through fields in the lower part of Sobradelo da Goma, and another climbing to the top of the rocky formation of Mount Merouço, at 600 meters altitude, where you can enjoy a superb view of Sobradelo, but also the castle of Lanhoso and Sameiro in Braga, with the Cabreira and Gerês mountain ranges as a backdrop.
