Caldas da Cavaca

The waters of Caldas da Cavaca were already being used free of charge by local inhabitants for treatments in dug wells. These thermal baths were later granted concessions in 1924, but it was in 1950 that the resort experienced a major boost, transforming into a resort with excellent conditions for the time. The Cavaca spring is located on a farm in the Coja River valley, a tributary of the Dão River. The facilities are spread across a group of buildings, including a spa, guesthouse, and ground-floor rental houses. These medicinal waters are recommended for the treatment of respiratory, digestive, rheumatic, and musculoskeletal diseases.
