From the Serralves Collection at Palácio da Bolsa: Katharina Grosse

Between the 20th March and the 30th September the iconic Palácio da Bolsa in Porto will welcome a work of the German artist Katharina Grosse which belongs to the Fundação Serralves' collection.

Somewhere in the middle between painting and carving, "Atoms Outside Eggs" may be considered a sculptural painting and is one of the most paradigmatic works of this artist. Katharina is known for her experiences using colourful material out of the conventional painting process, thus creating pictorial objects whose aim is to bring colour and matter closer together.
