The Swan Lake

The Swan Lake is presented at at the Porto Coliseum on November 23rd.

Full of romance and beauty, it is considered the most spectacular of the classic ballets, a dramatic ballet in four acts by the Russian composer Tchaikovsky with libretto by Vladimir Begitchev and Vasily Geltzer. Its popularity is motivated both by the music and by the inventive and expressive choreography that, relating the human body with the movements of a swan, reveals his genius, choreographic potential and artistic creativity.

Swan Lake tells the story of a prince who seeks the ideal woman and sees in the figure of the swan the softness and the feminine charm, that make him fall madly in love. But, in fact, the swan is the transfiguration of a beautiful fairy princess, a true romantic poetic theme.
