A bay north of the narrow path that leads to the small peninsula, Baleal is a treasure for diving and extreme sports enthusiasts. It has a small island populated by fishermen and is very touristy. There is no shortage of high-quality restaurants serving traditional dishes. Nightlife is a must.

This river beach is one of the excellent recreational and leisure spots in Alcoutim. Located on the Cadavais riverbank, near the mouth of the Guadiana River, it boasts golden sand and is equipped with a wide range of facilities and services, including a parking lot, a bar, a picnic area with wooden tables, showers, a beach volleyball court, and restrooms.

A small marina located right on the Alcoutim riverfront, it offers a variety of sports, including canoeing and rowing. Also, noteworthy are the pleasant terraces along the Guadiana River.

A small river beach with white sand and lush vegetation. It has no lifeguards or any kind of support infrastructure.

This beach is located next to the Avis Nautical Club, on the banks of the Maranhão Reservoir. It's spacious and the landscape is dominated by greenery. The area is well-maintained, and there's a staircase leading down to the water.

It is a tourism and leisure area, with 475 berths, two luxury hotel units, 900 apartments for housing and tourism spread, 133 single-family houses, offices, shops, supermarket, restaurants, bars and culture area in a total area of 33,000 square meters. It also has a Nautical Club, Family Entertainment Center and underground parking for 1100 vehicles. Take a walk in this beautiful area.

The waters of this beach, belonging to the Paiva River, have a slightly dark color, the result of the presence of mineral salts and are, therefore, highly sought after for skin diseases. It is the ideal place for sunbathing, a walk or a picnic.

This site separates the parishes of Vilar (Moimenta da Beira) and Fonte Arcada (Sernancelhe), and allows fishing, particularly trout. The dam was created to normalize the flows of the Douro, and was recently used to capture water for public supply. It's also a great place to take a swim or have a picnic.

This is one of the most popular spaces on the island during the bathing season. With some grassy banks, benches and tables for picnics, a friendly restaurant with a terrace, among other facilities, it becomes one of the region's highlights.
