A chapel of harmonious proportions, built on the site where, according to tradition, the Virgin Mary appeared in 1410. Inside, 18th-century tile panels narrate the history of the sanctuary. The quality and iconographic value of these ceramic panels deserve special attention.

An imposing fortress that preserves the various outbuildings for the garrison, the cisterns, the powder magazine, the governor's residence, the dungeons, and the private chapel. A fort with two elevated and two lower bastions, with a sloping wall and a parapet pierced by gun emplacements and cylindrical guard towers.

In the first cove north of the lighthouse, at Boca do Chapim, there are numerous dinosaur footprint trails (round in shape). Looking closely, you can even see the rectangular tail mark. The trail begins where the Atlantic Ocean bed is today and follows the escarpment upwards.

The castle preserves the two fundamental elements of medieval fortifications: the town walls and the citadel, which retains the keep. On the walls, which form an irregular polygon, the gates providing access to the old town are visible: the Sun Gate and the Azoia Gate.

The construction of the Cape Espichel lighthouse, dating back to 1790, is linked to the first attempt of lighting up the Portuguese shoreline (known as the "dark coasts" by the British sailsmen until the second half of the 18th century). The lighting system was changed only in 1883. From then on, ther were several changes made in order to improve the signaling, both of sound and vision. Currently, the lighthouse can be viewd from a distance of 26 miles and is fully automated.

The current constructions date back to the 18th century. The church is sided by two volumes with arches and has a grandiose and unique character.

Also named Fortress of Saint Teodósio, as a tribute to a prince, it has an irregular poligonal plan. The precinct is separated from the road by a high, irregular wall. One can still see, on one side, a part of the primimitive wall with a portal.Inside, it has a cylinder shaped tower with a balcony.

Natural cave with Neolithic levels at Muslim period highlighting the Final Neolithic burials. Presents estalactíticas formations and stalagmitic masses. Are classified as Property in the public interest.

A construction of the 15th century which later underwent modifications. Of that temple, only the baroque front with stonework still stands. Inside, a special note to a room with a cylinder shaped ceiling and an ogival arch, somewhat original.

A pillory that was rebuilt in 1988, copy of the original that stood here and of which some fragments are kept in the Town Hall. It has a platform with three steps where a small base and a column stand. The chapiter is plain.
